The menu I had right away was popular pork liver. (“Buta reba-teki”)
Fat pork liver roasted with salt and sesame oil was surprisingly more plain than beef and delicious. Morning fished Pork is truly worth it…with the strong expectation, I opened the menu and got astonished at the price.
No to mention liver, (“reba-teki”) almost all the menu is between 90yen to 380yen.
The most popular menu; “Spicy Miso liver Iron in Pot” (“Karamiso Horumon Tetsu Nabe”) is just a bit more expensive but still 480yen for one person
But there is hardly any place to eat Nabe for 480yen! And its Miso has a good lasting taste with the liver and vegetables melt in it.
The most impressive one among cheap and delicious menu was Rafutee. (Pork boiled with Okinasa Sake, Awamori)
It takes time to cook although the seasoning is so simple. You can feel the delicate taste that will melt in your mouth like water. It has tender sweetness of soy sauce and black sugar. It is natural that the store manager, Yu Kitayama who has been in this world for 40 years, has perfect confidence in his food and said, “There should be no place where you can have this taste with only 380yen!”
Also, although they are mainly offering roasts and boiled food, the store keeps its cleanliness well and an international student from China working there welcomes you with quick service and smile.
The store got full in no time like the other day, and the regular customer next to me showed his fulfilled smile and said, “Because of my work, I’ve been around the world and ate a lot but this store is the best!”
When I looked around, I could see not only students but elegant middle-aged men, nodding with beer, having a lot of fun. And I believed this store has 3 attractions which are, taste, price and atmosphere well enough for adults to go regularly.
I heard there is also special sake which is not on menu, so feel free to ask cheerful staff.
