From the age of 18 to 24, I lived in Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Korea as both a student and a working professional. After gaining experience as a systems engineer and in new business development for companies involved in overseas weddings and global recruitment, I became independent in 2009. Since then, I have worked mainly in recruitment outsourcing, human resources, education, and new business development for real estate and related industries, following experience in environmental and medical-related companies.
*Social Contribution and Volunteer Activities*
In February 2009, at the request of the Tokyo 2016 Olympic Bid Committee, I organized a team of bilingual university students and led them in a three-week volunteer interpreting project at the Press Center. Afterwards, I established regular volunteer activities at Meiji Shrine, where student volunteers provided guided tours in English to international visitors. Between 2009 and 2019, over 300 students participated. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the program resumed in 2022, centering around Osaka Castle and Houkoku Shrine, with over 60 registered students as of 2025.
From 2010 to 2019, I planned and managed Japan’s first large-scale industry-wide internship program for international students, which contributed significantly to facilitating foreign residents’ accommodation. For this achievement, I received a Meritorious Service Award from the Japan Property Management Association (JPMA) in 2017.
In 2011, under the auspices of the Japan Tourism Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I launched the International Red and White Song Festival, held annually in Tokyo. The event has since expanded to Osaka (2013–2014), Cebu (2017–2018), Bali (2018), Bandung (2022–2024), and São Paulo (2024–2025). In 2018, I was honored with the World Contribution Award by Korea’s Current Affairs Newspaper.
Since 2021, the main venue has been relocated to Osaka, where the festival serves as the Final Event of the “International Student Week” hosted by the Consortium of Universities and Industries for International Student Support. In 2025, the event was held at the Festival Station of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
